-Saline rinse and/or Antibacterial soap 3-6X day. We sell saline spray
-Oral piercings require Alcohol free mouthwash and antibacterial soap for external cleaning
Do Not do the following:
-Don't clean more than 6X day it will dry out skin, mouth
-Don't buy eye contact saline. Use wound wash or nasal saline rinse. Don't make your own saline either (not very sterile, always use from the bottle)
-Don't use bar soap. Use mild fragrance free pump soap (more sterile)
-Don't get get make up, lotions, or ointments on the piercing
-Don't use alcohol or peroxide, causes redness and irritation and stinging. Too strong for everyday cleaning
-No swimming lake, ponds, pools, sauna, jacuzzi. You risk infection if water is dirty. Shower is fine Though
Healing times:
Belly - 4 months to year
Nose - 2 to 4 months
Lip - 2 to 3 months
Ear lobes - 6 to 8 weeks
Ear cartilage - 4 months to year
Tongue - 4 weeks
Nipple - 3 to 6 months
Eyebrow - 6 to 8 weeks
Troubleshooting your piercing:
It is the customers responsibility to clean and maintain the piercing. We are not medical professionals and cannot diagnose you, however most problems fall into 3 categories Infection, allergic reaction, or tight jewelry due to swelling. The following solutions are available:
